Master's Thesis

Description

For my Master's thesis, I am investigating how the realism of synthetic training data affects the ability of deep learning models to detect and classify ships in real-world maritime imagery. As a part of the process, I am building and improving a synthetic data generation pipeline based on Unreal Engine and evaluating the performance of models trained on synthetic data. This project is in collaboration with Nautrik.
